Los Angeles, California- Volunteers from SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, have joined forces with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA), to help build a site at Long Beach, California.

More than 30 volunteers from SkyTeam’s US Market Coordinating Committee (MCC) have joined Habitat LA on in its mission to build houses for deserving, low- income households from the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Volunteers from all SkyTeam’s 20 member airlines donated their time and expertise to help build four houses at the Habitat build site in Long Beach, California. Tasks for the group included carpentry, painting and yard work.

Not merely did SkyTeam’s US MCCs contribute their time, however they also donated cash to Habitat for Humanity in lieu of their annual holiday bash.

The Habitat LA build site is four single family, two story, 3-bedroom houses that are going to be sold to partner families who have met eligibility criteria. They supply sweat equity plus monetary obligations that specify Habitat for Humanity’s mission of giving a hand, not a hand out.
